Words

Words are sometimes futile. We tend to associate them with a certain meaning, but all this is so subjective that eventually, each person seems to be speaking its own language.

So this time, I’ll resume to images, and what they might inspire for people like me.

What About Heroes?

Modern day heroes?

Till today I didn’t really think people still believe in this type of stories. I was the sceptical one, myself. That was, until I realized it’s our perception that’s faded away, not them.

Have you ever watched a superhero movie and wandered what would be like if you had that strength? You must have, at least as a child, day-dreamed of moments like that. So what happened? What stops us from believing any more? I think it’s just us. We get blinded by every day life that we cease to see the essential.

I like these movies. It’s like a wake-up call, that tells me I’m missing the world surrounding, that I’m fading my senses in a routine which makes me cease living, and fades my conscious self into a self-sustained agonizing sleep. We all want to wake up but we believe we can’t. It’s a slap that makes me realize life is more that a self-centered fantasy, and we must learn again to see beyond what meets the eye.

We’re taught as children to be ambitious, to compete, to fight for what we want. So when we see a lovely miracle, we try to grasp it away from the world, afraid that somebody else will take ownership over it before us. Like a beautiful flower, that when we notice it, the inbreed instincts make us pick it up, instead of letting it live, to give joy to others as well. We choose to capture the beauty, sometimes to offer it as homage to get a special one’s attention, but by the simple capture, it’s ecstatic beauty fades away.Free BirdEnslaved bird

How many times, because we envied the freedom of birds, we enslaved them to the state of a live exposé, to humour the human ego, by stating ‘yes, man has conquer the wild’. Too bad…we’re left to an inferior state of void.

Wake up! Enjoy the world, don’t try to conquer or subdue. Watch, learn to see, don’t break its value if you cannot understand. And Learn. Yes, learn to live, to speak, to walk, to coexist with the unknown. Increase your reach by testing your own limits, again and again, against the unknown. Grownot older, but wiser.
Make the difference! Be different! Be yourself!

Fictional Legend Inspiring Modern Day

Sherlock Holmes Welcome Party

Have you ever had the impression that sometimes a fictional character is more inspiring than real life?
Have you ever taken a chance to see the impact these fictional models have on a culture, on a person, on you?

Decided to try the experience of visiting “the house” of a “legend”, the Sherlock museum. I was always fascinated by the fiction who become more popular than it’s creator, but step by step I started to understand the fascination of his world. For the first time, I began to understand the man who was shadowed by his fiction, and how this was possible.Insight into a legend life
Was welcomed by a forgotten world, where gallantry and modesty combine with charm, making you feel like you need to be there, firing you curiosity on a life that never existed.

A day for Sherlock

But what if? That is the question you start to live when you see how the net of a story drags you further away, driving your steps deeper into the mystery that will remain this man. The one who no one could ever know, could follow nor understand. You are dragged out by time, and still, your fascination remains with the one no one had the chance to investigate.

Wouldn’t you like to be in his shoes for once? See the world trough his eyes, understand what others don’t even notice, be dragged into mystery and puzzles that surround but more than often get unnoticed by our unpractised eyes…

Well, for a couple of hours I lived the stories of a great man, whose creation has succeeded to put him in the shadows.

The First Day

Rediscovering life is one of the hardest things one can experience, when you forgot how to live, how to see, to listen, to feel and be then and there.

For instance, life offers gifts, just like the little drops of water, but we are so focused on the flow, we don’t see the individual entities. And the sad part for all this is that it is actually our choice to ignore.
